Excellent 16" powerhouse for a chain saw. Started right up out of the box and cuts through any of my tree work around the house like a hot knife going through butter. I can't believe this chain saw for the money. Worth much more than what I paid ($93.00)and with free shipping, what a value, every one should have one! Excellent quailty 16" chain saw!

I am writing this review after the first hour of use. The saw was used to cut several downed branches (~10" diameter) into firewood.

Corrections:
* The chain brake isn't really "manual" - it is an automatic brake that engages when the chain gets hung up, and is disengaged by pulling back on the hand guard. However, you can use a screwdriver to engage the brake when the unit isn't being used. I haven't tested the automatic braking feature, and with careful use I never will.
* Chain tensioning is not "toolless" - the tension is adjusted with a screw on the chain brake assembly.

Other Thoughts:
It didn't run very well during the first 20 minutes. I attribute that to a short break-in period. In hindsight, I should have pulled the spark plug and checked if it shipped with a little oil in the combustion chamber; perhaps another customer can check and report back.
