On March 1, 1998, Tanaka became the first two-stroke manufacturer to certify to the stringent C.A.R.B. Tier II emissions regulations. While most other manufacturers tried to fight the standard and say that it could not be done with two-stroke, Tanaka did it. Today, all Tanaka products comply with EPA phase 2 regulations and all Tanaka product groups are C.A.R.B Tier II compliant.

I read the reviews and bought the 4501 (from somewhere else) on sale. I took it apart to install the blade/chain and to my surprise the chainbrake is in the cover and so poorly designed that I could not even get the cover back on the saw. My 10 year old "cheap" Homelite was much better designed. I kinda irritated I read alot of reviews and no one mentioned this terrible design. How on earth could you do maintenance out in the woods with this saw.
Absolutely a piece of junk in the design, maybe the engine works well (I don't know since I never even started it) but come one. This is definitely NOT worth the money. I would give it 0 stars if I could. By The Way: Amazon - You are awesome and my favored site to buy stuff and I know I can count on this site to have "real" reviews from "real" people. Thank you! |
