Poulan Pro Chainsaw Ppb3416

Comment: Quits after one tree or sooner. This product is not for a home owner unless they want to spend some time mixing correct oil & gas ingredients or bringing it to be serviced to keep the darn thing running. This was a Christmas gift and all that should be necessary is gas and oil. Submitted a case for support to return this item (after 3 uses) and all they do advise to go to a local dealer. Called the dealer, they don't do warranties, but they have a heap pile to use for parts if you want to give it to them. I used to think Poulans were the best, but they are for professional who love their tools, not someone who wants a product to simply run without the needed attention of making sure the saw has the proper ingredients/maintenance to STAY running. After 3 trees, this is going to the recycle bin.
My 14in electric chainsaw can out perform this gas poulan saw any day of the week and was less than half the price of this Poulan.
The dealer didn't even have any good comments for this item since they said the $126 price tag as "You get what you pay for" probably bought at one of those local building supply stores. Wanted to make sure if you get one of these return it before the 90 days warranty and save some headaches. Don't even open the box!!

Comment: i ordered a P3416 form amazon, they sent me this piece of junk instead. only been 15 days since the order, and because i used it once to cut up some wood, they won't correct their mistake. they have my money and i have a saw with a defective carburator that i didn't order to begin with. how can they knowingly replace an ordered item with whatever they like?? don't order a saw from amazon because once you try it out, it is yours forever, win, loose, or draw. They told me to sell it locally if i didn't like it. really disappointed with amazon's customer relations!!

Comment: first off, any negative comments about this saw on other sites are probly made by people who have never even started a 2 cycle engine or are professional loggers or tree trimmers.i have used poulan saws since i was a kid (20 years ago) cutting firewood for winter in arkansas. got mine in the mail and put the bar and chain on,gassed it up ,poured bar oil in, greased sprocket on bar,started on second pull, warmed up a few seconds and full throttle cutting wood posts. This saw is not for loggers, it's for the average homeowner to trim their trees or cut firewood for the winter, and will last you for years if you take care of it like you would your car. keep your chain tight and sharp,change your chain and bar when wore out, and the saw will last you a long time. $95 with shipping is alot cheaper than somebody telling you to buy a stihl or echo for $300 when this saw will do the job you need it to do,what more could you want?
