Comfort Features
As easy to handle and hold as it is powerful, the 22602 features an ergonomic, over-molded grip to help minimize wrist and hand fatigue. And at just 6.8 pounds, it's lightweight enough to lift and carry without excessive strain--even during more intense jobs.
No Emissions--Ever
Like all Greenworks lawn products, the 22602 will never release an ounce of carbon emissions into the air. And because it's powered by a lithium-ion battery (sold separately), this pole saw won't create the mess and potential danger of gasoline spills. This design is not only , but also efficient--you'll never have to haul your gas can to the filling station or schedule tune ups and maintenance.
The Lithium-Ion Advantage
The 22602 can be powered by a 6.0-Ah lithium-ion battery or a lighter-weight 2.6-Ah lithium-ion battery (batteries not included). Lithium-ion batteries provide up to three times longer runtime than comparable nickel-cadmium batteries--up to 2,000 cycles. These long-lasting batteries also maintain consistent power, so you won't be disturbed by power lapses or surges. And because lithium-ion batteries are recyclable and are manufactured without heavy metals, this lithium-ion tool is an choice.
Available Charger Reduces Energy Usage by 35 Percent
Compatible 22602 batteries can be conveniently charged in the corresponding rated charger (not included). The charger is Energy Star rated, which means it has been shown by the EPA to reduce energy usage by an average of 35 percent from conventional yard tools. Plus, you can charge your batteries any time without any negative memory effect.
Warranty Information
The 22602 is backed by a four-year warranty--that's double the industry standard.

This review is from: Greenworks 20602 20-Volt Lithium Ion 10-Inch Cordless Electric Chain Saw (No Battery or Charger) (Lawn & Patio) This is my first chainsaw. I have a friend who is happy to come over with his gas-powered monster for the heavy duty stuff. I wanted a light-duty saw so I don't need to call on my friend for the little stuff. The Greenworks model is perfect for me. I can take care of reasonably thick branches and use it on logs that just don't want to split. It's not exactly like a hot knife through butter, but it gets the job done. I was a little worried about oiling the chain, and making a big mess, but the built-in reservoir does a good job and hardly leaks at all.
I wanted to go lithium-ion because it's the best battery technology today--if it's good enough for a Tesla roadster, it's good enough for my chainsaw! But Amazon didn't have the charger, nor could I find it anywhere else. Long story short, I called the Greenworks service dpt and they were able to send me one right away. So I got my charger, my battery, and my saw, and I've been using it all summer. It's a good product. This review is from: Greenworks 20602 20-Volt Lithium Ion 10-Inch Cordless Electric Chain Saw (No Battery or Charger) (Lawn & Patio) I have a few comments....first, why all the hassle with the battery and charger being so hard to get and the battery so expensive??? They should be sold together as a package bundle!
That being said..... I LOVE THIS SAW! Yesterday i used it for the first time, it was awesome. The battery wasn't fully charged, but i got a solid 25+ minutes out of it. I cut rounds off a stump that had a diameter of over 12"... and it worked beautifully. I cut rounds off trees that were felled ( less than 6" diameter), again it was beautiful. It made short work of the trees, and i kept good pace with my friend who was using a little gas powered saw. Of course now i need at least another battery...because I need to be able to cut longer..lol. It does leak a little oil, but yeah ok, don't all chain saws?? ( using the correct bar and chain oil may help that though),I can't get Greenworks anything here so i just bought quaker state dura-trac bar and chain oil, and it worked great. Will update if...Read more 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Greenworks 20602 20-Volt Lithium Ion 10-Inch Cordless Electric Chain Saw (No Battery or Charger) (Lawn & Patio) For a cordless electric chainsaw it works great. If compare to a gas then you'll be dissapointed. Like I'd read for similar craftsman and ryobi models it also leaks the bar-chain lubricant so be careful how you store it. For smaller limb, pruning I think a hand-held reciprocating saw with a wood blade works better for low to the ground branches. For larger stuff a chainsaw is superior since the chain can cut quicker through thicker wood than a reciprocating saw (I have used a craftsman pro model that also has a 20 volt lithium battery). My only suggestion for improvement is quicker movement of chain from motor (if possible) and to try and make a design that doesn't leak so much of the chain lubricant. Called oregon chain company and they said this is an s40 10 inch chain, so should be easy to replace. I love not having to mix gas-oil and how it just starts up and goes. The lithium battery (got from the trimmer model) really holds a long charge. Hope it will be durable. |
