This pole trimmer works very well, but it is top heavy when you extend it. I can only use it say 5 minutes and I must take a break.

It reaches where I can't. However, it can jam easily. Don't force it. And if it jams, give it a short while to cool off. It comes back to life. Even with the jamming problem, I think it's a must-have for large shrubs.

Unlike many of the other reviewers I have had no trouble whatsoever with my trimmer.I believe this is my third season using it and have never jammed it. I move right along when I trim. Like some others mine arrived with a broken knob where you change the angle but I just did a DIY and converted something I already had rather than deal with returning it. Yes, it is heavy when extended but the convenience of extending the trimmer for use on taller shrubs makes it worth it for me. One has to be reasonable and not tackle branches that are too thick. It is a trimmer and not a pruner. For me the cost was a big factor as the accessory for trimming for my weed whip would have been at least $20 more. I would have rated it five stars if it were not for the broken knob (cheap plastic).
