Echo CS-450 Gas Chainsaw, 18 Inch

The Echo CS-450 is a great saw. I had a large tree go down in my side yard (60 year old wild cherry) and my old saw had seen its last days earlier this summer. I did a lot of research and narrowed it down to Echo and Stihl. For saws of equal capabilities the Echo was priced much cheaper. The only issue that arose was that I ordered the 18 inch bar and the saw arrived with a 20 inch bar. While waiting for the saw I purchased a spare chain, 18 inch. The vendor that supplied the saw did not have an 18 inch bar. They offered to take the saw back but I did not want to return the saw so they refunded me the cost of the 18 inch chain. I was concerned that the saw might be under powered to run the 20 inch chain but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the saw was more than capable. The Echo ate through the downed tree like a hot knife through butter. The last cut was as good as the first after about 8 hours of continuous use. Needless to say, I'm well pleased.

This item was sold with a 5 year manufacturers warranty.
The warranty registration card was not included with the product, which renders the warranty invalid.
